Hi, My name is Pete & just wanted to say hi with a little background. I was diagnosed in Sep-12 with cancer of the tonsil & throat. Completed treatment with Cetuximab & IMRT in Jan-13. All clear given on 16-Apr-13 ;D. Developed complications through losing 4 stone in body weight and now waiting for a 'plug' to be fitted so I can be feed straight into the stomach as my diabetes through a splenectomy, has caused nutrition absorption issues. I needed a new goal, something to aim for, and this is where bikers4macmillan hopefully will help. My new goal now, is to now gain enough weight and become fit enough to take part in the Sunset to Sunrise 2014 event and the opportunity to give something back to Macmillan, who have been nothing short of brilliant!!! My Wife (Yvonne) has been unbelievably supportive through this and it's about time she has 'a long overdue break' too. My trusty steed is an Aprilia SL1000R (Falco) that has been lovingly tinkered with including some tasty RSV bits etc. since ownership in 2008. Hopefully, we can come together again for this worthwhile event and afford me the opportunity to give something back to this wonderful organisation - thanks guys. Attachments:

Quick update - just had a new RIG (Radiology Inserted Gastronomy) tube fitted and I've nicknamed it the GT version. It's much smaller than the first one and the good news is it won't catch on my leather or textile jacket when I'm riding - Brilliant!!!
